A day of firsts

You guys - I had my first jump/xc lesson ever!!

and the Porsche was a ROCKSTAR!

Dressage saddle not the most helpful, lots of position flaws, but both having a blast over the log!

When one of the barn gals kindly offered me an empty spot in her trailer to go school at a horse park, I said YES! So we loaded up her gelding and Porsche, and had a day filled with fun!

We zipped around on the gallop track, went through the water feature (Porsche stopped half-way thru and was all splish-splashy and wanted to roll LOL. She was happy snorting the entire time - and the only thing she gave a hairy eyeball to was one of the brush prelim jumps.

So, I think I'm changing disciplines and am gonna try baby level eventing...

and that means saddle shopping for a proper jump saddle now...any recommendations?

  1. YES YES YES YES YES!!!!! You should come up to Stallion Station -- we have the friendliest starter and intro divisions ever -- coaching allowed if you want!

I've sat in a lot of really comfy Stubbens lately. I've been impressed. I also love my Albion Kontact Lite (which fits Murray). Those are the best recommendations I have right now, hopefully you find something that works for Porsche!

  2. Yay! XC is so fun. Woodside has an intro division now. I'm sure you could still enter! We'll come cheer you on.
