One of the perks of being in a big barn is getting to meet new and interesting horse breeds, especially ones that you wouldn't normally get to see. So when an Akhal-Teke moved into the barn for some R&R, I had to meet him!

I didn't know much about Akhal-Tekes, just that they are a desert horse, and their crazy beautiful metallic coats are an adaptation to reflect heat and blend in with mirages:
