If you haven't yet - drop everything and binge watch the
so much good stuff to think about (and hopefully add to my toolbox!)
A few of my favourite take-aways:
1. Forward! The horse should always want to move into extended everything - the maximum difference between collected and extended is a thought.
2. Transitions transitions transitions - always test can I get the extended trot? can I get it now? how bout now?
3. Make the horse work hard - you just sit up there and look pretty :)
He took especial time with one rider who had a young horse spooking at the camera tripod - and it was great for me to see how they worked it through, and then NBD just got on with the lesson.
Not to mention all the clinic horses are gorgeous!
Must see TV ;)
