2016 in Review

In putting this together, I realized how much change Tesla and I both went through over the course of 2016. Here's hoping 2017 makes me into a better, more effective rider, and Tesla continues to makes strides forward :D

January

Start of this blog!

February

Took some time to work on the basics

March

Experienced the Luck of the Irish on St. Patty's Day firsthand (pun intended!)

and got some new hardware in  my left wrist!

April

Made some tack changes and went back to groundwork basics and R-E-S-P-E-C-T

May

Tesla turned 6

 and I hosted a 100th post giveaway

June

Got spoiled with Leister brushes! P.S. they are holding up well!!

and met the wonderful L from Viva Carlos in person!

July

Planned to Send Tesla to summer school for a re-boot.

Tess got super drunk with friends..

and super homesick at the trainers...

August

Took Tess for the first test-drive since the accident...and go to 

our 2nd Jutta clinic

September

Tesla moves back by me, at a new lo-key family barn 

and we learn that her half-sister is local!

October

Have our first Lesson with Trainer J - and we both love her!

I buy a bona-fide dressage saddle, and notice some worrying trends at the new barn that start me looking elsewhere, and we move back to the original barn we were at.

November

First lesson at the new barn reveals holes in Tesla's training and we start over from square uno.

So we longe, and longe some more.

December

Tesla starts to get "it" and gets an actual dressage bridle for Christmas.
and we wrap up the year with an awesome lesson from Trainer J.
